Preamble: We begin in the name of Allah, The Beneficent, The Merciful. Al-Fajar owes its present and subsequent efforts to Allah in establishing the Foundation for the sole purpose to serve the ailing humanity. Al-Fajar Foundation is a noble urge of like-minded people who want to save the dying humanity inflicted with the terrible Thalassemia and kidney related diseases.

 We invoke the assistance of Allah to help us in accomplishing our obligations of establishing a fully equipped hospital of international standard for the indigent patients of Thalassemia and kidney related diseases. Statistics confirm the increasing number of patients with Thalassemia and kidney related diseases in Pakistan, especially in Swat where Al-Fajar Foundation is located. We believe that state sponsored treatment of these fatal diseases is inadequate and private treatment is beyond the reach of the poor people. This necessitated the existence of Al-Fajar Foundation.

The Arabic word Al-Fajar is the metaphor of dawn, beginning of a new day. Dawn symbolizes the end of a dark era and commencement of a new day beaming with golden rays of hope and health. Taking the same inspiration, a new welfare and philanthropic foundation with the name Al-Fajar Foundation has been established in Mingora, Swat under the auspices and management of SPS College Swat.

The name of this foundation epitomizes the message of optimism, hope, health and life which it aims to bring to the ailing humanity of Swat Valley especially for those who are suffering from dreadful blood diseases.
